As a local resident who were born and raised in Ishigaki, I will be one of the most suited personal tour guide of this area. Adding to that, the fact that I have worked as the city government officer for more than 20 years will make me easire to find, collect and manage resources useful in conducting the guide service.

As an Okinawa Prefecture Licensed Guide Interpreter (Cert. No.EN10021 issued by Okinawa Governor and registered in 2011), I am trained to give information, conduct necessary communication and provide guide service in English.

04. About Ishigaki City
The city of Ishigaki belongs to local municipalities of Okinawa Prefecture (the 47th prefecture of Japan). It covers the entire area of Ishigaki Island and its population is 49,710 as of December 2021.
The city is a famous tourist destination not only in Japan but also for foreign tourists, especially from Taiwan, China, the USA, Australia and other asian and European countries.
In 2020, the number of tourist hit the highest record of over 1,470,000. The main domestic routes to access the city are from major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Naha. Globally, it had maintained the flight connection with Taiwan and Hong Kong, however the serivice is currently suspended due to the entry restrictions for foreign tourists by Japanese government.
